Relationships with clients or developers matter

The relationship you have with your client or your developer determines to a large extent the quality of the resulting project.

I am convinced of this.

I have seen many projects developed where the relationship was minimal and the feedback and input from both parties was empty or unidirectional and the results were always lackluster. Whenever the relationship was vibrant and based on mutual respect or even admiration, then the results were not only beyond what either party had produced int he past, but also rewarding.

So clients, if you don't respect the skills of your developer. If they don't wow you and inspire you then do your business a favor and ditch them.

Developers, if you hate your client and want them to go away, then make them go away or go away yourself. Your professional development will suffer if you don't.

Your life reflects the things you fill it with and so does your work. your work will determine your progress and success in business. Invest the time in finding and building great relationships first. From here you can create wealth and success.
