Find the right tools for your business. Select the right components and build the perfect web site.
Problems 1: Spies, hackers, crackers, script kiddies and their ilk
Whether for entertainment, practice, or for profit, there are many prying eyes out there. Larger companies deal with spies (think 007 but without the accent, the martini, the wealth, the glamor, the explosions, the tuxedos or the women) while all of us deal with internet diseases like hackers, email scrapers, and spammers. It\'s like the flu, not only can anyone get hit by it, but at some point everyone does. Fortunately there is a simple cure as you\'ll see below.
Problems 2: Search engines
If Google or certain other search engines find your development website they will view it as duplicate content, consider this a spam attempt and penalize the website! While your client may never know why their hard earned PageRank has suddenly dropped, this will hardly make a good impression and likely associate you with the subsequent pain and misery.
Never assume that a website you don\'t link to won\'t be found by search engine spiders. Many people (yes clients are people too), even those less computer savvy and computer-phobes, maintain blogs or comment on them. Links to "what I\'m working on" or "check out this developers fantastic work" are often posted on blogs to show colleagues or even family members. These links are quickly scooped up by Spiders as well.
