Community makes for greatness

When we work as a freelance developer, either alone of with a multidisciplinary team, we can often find ourselves alone in our craft. It is easy to become isolated from the larger community of like developers, be they designers, web programmers, site owners, etc. Fortunately it can be just as easy to keep yourself a part of a community.

Web development, like many businesses, is rapidly changing, eternally evolving, and can be hard to keep up with. Communities, of like minds come together for support as well as to collaborate. Nothing can attest more to the power of collaboration and community than the internet itself. Our experience or desire to learn is the only key we need to access that community and to contribute to it.

Communities of disparate minds come together to learn from each other as well. A designer, and an SEO specialist will not only have many mutual interests, but together they will have opportunities to find problems while also having an opportunity to find a solution. Business starts with finding problems, successfully competing in business is about finding and executing solutions. An idea can be a good start but reality isn't founded on ideas, it is founded on action. It takes many different skills and strengths to make a compelling business a reality.
